Silk Road Investment & Mining Trade Forum
Kick off a New Chapter of China-Mongolia Mining Cooperation
The Silk Road Investment & Mining Trade Forum was successfully held at the Beijing Chang'an Club on 2026, 6, 26.

This event is co-organized by Tianjin United Sino-Mongolian Economic and Trade Promotion Center, Beijing-Tianjin Enterprise Chamber of Commerce, Chang'an Club, and Mongolia's Trigteq LLC. Official support is provided by the Embassy of Mongolia in China, Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources of Mongolia, Mineral Resources and Petroleum Authority, Mongolian Stock Exchange, and Bank of Tianjin.
The forum aims to break down barriers and establish authority, focusing on four core themes: China-Mongolia mineral trade, cross-border investment, supply chain collaboration, and cross-border finance. It brings together over 100 government and business representatives, including Mongolian officials stationed in China, leading state-owned mining enterprises from Mongolia, commodity exchange institutions, and Chinese mining procurement and investment firms, creating an authoritative and actionable platform for end-to-end industry alignment between China and Mongolia.
Government and Enterprise Discuss Golden Opportunities for Mongolia-China Mining Cooperation

The forum opening featured a series of speeches by key guests, highlighting the strategic alignment between China and Mongolia, outlining industry trends, and announcing new opportunities for cooperation. Ambassador Bayar-Sogtbaatar, Commercial Counselor at the Embassy of Mongolia to China, delivered the opening remarks. He emphasized that mining is a core pillar of bilateral trade. In 2025, Mongolia's total foreign trade reached 190 billion USD, with mineral products as the primary export category. In the first five months of 2026, exports of key minerals totaled nearly 80 billion USD. China remains Mongolia's indispensable market.

Wu Wei, President of the Beijing-Tianjin Enterprise Chamber of Commerce, highlighted in his address that the Chamber has deepened its focus on the steel and mining sectors, leveraging resources from chambers across China and overseas institutions to support cross-border cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. Capitalizing on recent high-level interactions between China and Mongolia, he shared an innovative collaboration model combining "coal mining + power generation + AI computing," noting that the current period represents a golden window for China-Mongolia mining cooperation. The Chamber will continue to provide Chinese enterprises investing in Mongolia with one-stop landing services, including legal and financial support.
Terbish Dagva, Chief Advisor, and Chen Ruibo, President of the Tianjin Joint China-Mongolia Economic and Trade Promotion Center, delivered speeches highlighting the forum's core objective: to address key industry pain points in China-Mongolia cross-border cooperation, including information asymmetry on policies, fragmented business matching, and compliance gaps.
Ms. Tian Yabin, General Manager of Chang'an Club, delivered the opening remarks on behalf of the host organization and extended a warm welcome to all government and business guests. She highlighted that Chang'an Club leverages its high-end platform at Chang'an Technology Association to deepen cross-border industry collaboration, noting that this China-Mongolia Mining Forum represents a significant practical implementation of northbound economic and trade cooperation.

Vice President Li Fangge of Tianjin Bank focuses on cross-border financial services for the mining sector, delivering a comprehensive suite of solutions tailored to mineral trade and cross-border investment. These include cross-border settlement, trade financing, overseas registration, and currency risk hedging.

The briefing details compliance requirements for mining rights approval, export quotas, and cross-border transportation.
Mineral Enterprise Project Showcase: Unlocking Mongolia's Primary Mineral Development Resources

Following the tea break networking session, the forum moved to a project presentation segment. Leading Mongolian mining companies, trading institutions, and engineering firms took turns on stage to showcase high-quality mineral resources and collaborative projects.
Ms. Dierg Mullen, Head of Mining Trading at Apex Securities, stated that as a top-tier dual-listed brokerage on the Mongolian Exchange, the firm offers one-stop matching services—including preferential mineral trading and end-to-end fulfillment custody—through its professional multilingual team.
Bayarbold, Chief Representative of the Erdenes (Treasure) Mongol Group Beijing Office, delivers a major industry presentation. As Mongolia's leading state-owned mining group, the company holds vast strategic reserves of copper, coal, iron, and fluorspar, and is currently advancing platform restructuring and industrial park development.
Exclusive B2B one-on-one business meetings to foster multiple partnership opportunities

All topics have been shared. The exclusive B2B matchmaking session for the forum is now underway. All Mongolian mining enterprises, exchanges, and government representatives will be seated in private meeting booths. Chinese procurement and investment companies can schedule one-on-one in-depth discussions using their blue badges, with professional interpreters providing real-time translation throughout.
Participating companies exchanged needs across five key areas: long-term ore procurement, joint mine development, cross-border park investment, supply chain finance, and multimodal logistics. Multiple preliminary cooperation agreements were reached on-site, achieving a complete one-stop closed loop of "needs publication – resource matching –意向 negotiation."
