Peak of Color: Masterpieces from the Centre Pompidou Collection

Recently, the Chang'an Club brought together more than 20 members and guests for an immersive visit to the "Peak of Color: Masterpieces from the Centre Pompidou Collection" exhibition at Beijing Minsheng Modern Art Museum. This premier showcase features authentic works by Western art masters and fosters a dialogue between Eastern and Western aesthetics, offering club members a soul-stirring journey through modern art's century-long legacy in color and light.

As the year's most anticipated art exhibition of 2026, this showcase is jointly presented by Minsheng Art Museum Beijing, Centre Pompidou, and Grimaldi Forum Monaco. It is the flagship international tour organized during Centre Pompidou's five-year renovation closure. Open to the public from 1 24 to 5 10, the exhibition features 100% original works, a world-class lineup of masters, and a multi-sensory immersive experience, making it the hottest topic in Beijing's art scene.

Centered on "color," this exhibition traces the evolution of modern art throughout the 20th century, covering eight pivotal movements: Fauvism, Cubism, Surrealism, Abstract Art, Pop Art, and more. It features authentic masterpieces by nearly 60 Western icons—including Picasso, Matisse, Dalí, Kandinsky, Yves Klein, and Giacometti—alongside works from 16 contemporary Chinese artists, creating a dialogue between Eastern and Western color aesthetics.
