The history of the Chang An Club goes back to the mid 90’s, when Mme Chan Lai Wah of the Hong Kong based Fu Wah International Group Ltd built the Beijing Tower on the prestigious Chang An Avenue. Ten floors of this multi-purpose development were allocated to become this vibrant nation’s finest and most prestigious private members club.

When developing the Club, the intent was to create a high quality, private venue in the center of Beijing where domestic and overseas business executives and entrepreneurs of all types of industry, could mingle with the main aim of building and maintaining business and personal relationships. With its unique position on Chang An Avenue, overlooking the Forbidden City, and being only a stone’s throw away from the seat of China’s government, this prestigious development quickly became the preferred meeting place for Beijing’s elite, leading officials, a growing number of major international conglomerates and diplomats from numerous nations. Since its opening in 1996, the Club has firmly established itself as the leading "Member Only" club in China.
